Webinar Weaning
Attend our free webinar on ‘Weaning‘ which will be hosted on 20 June at 15:00 CEST below.
The moment of weaning has always been a critical moment in a pig’s life. Many things change at the same time, quite often this leads to weaning related health issues. For decades, solutions like antibiotic growth promoters or zinc oxide have suppressed those problems, yet modern times increasingly ask for modern solutions. So once again the question is: what are the causes of these health problems around weaning, and can we think of novel and innovative solutions to help piglets develop without any problems?

Title: “The Pig Appeasing Pheromone (PAP) improves welfare and performance at weaning.“
- Weaning is a challenging situation where piglets need to adapt to environmental, social, and dietary changes.
- Synthetic Maternal Appeasing Pheromones can be used as natural tools to facilitate adaptation of different situations in several species of farm animals.
- Maternal Appeasing Pheromones, and in this case, the Pig Appeasing Pheromone (SecurePig® and SecurePig®Flash), improves welfare, optimizes the expression of genetic potential for growth and promotes positive interactions in weaning and in the overall pig production system.
