Neil Jaworski, Head of Nutrition, Formulation and Animal Modeling at Trouw Nutrition kicked off the webinar. He spoke about cutting-edge diet formulation for piglets and the importance of kinetics of protein digestion and dietary fibre fermentation, which is a key pillar in the Milkiwean Vital Start Program. He highlighted the rate of digestion in piglets, and gut and stomach finctionality, and the purpose and role of Kinetio technology, which is a key innovation to overcome post-weaning challenges.

ParticleCheck Technology

Wim Lannoy, Swine Nutritionist at Trouw Nutrition Belgium, was up next. When working on piglet care and health, addressing gut functionality is in most of the case considered as first priority, he says, noting the innovative ParticleCheck Technology for enhanced stomach and intestinal functionality. He also highlighted piglet gut health and issues related to a disruption in feed intake, as well as the effect of particle size on stomach pH and the emptying of nutrients.

Tijl Vanmeenen, Technical Sales Manager Young Animal Feed Swine in ECA region at Trouw Nutrition, spoke about the Milkiwean Vital Start Program, which he said is an exclusive programme to deliver tailored solutions and services to sustainably enhance piglet health and growth.
