Simon Coveny, Agriculture Minister Ireland, is pleased with the opening of the Philippines market to beef, pork and lamb from Ireland.
After an audit of Irish facilities a new agreement is in place to permit exports from 39 pig processing plants, 43 beef plants and 29 sheep processors in Ireland.
“Also there is every reason to hope that the decision of the Filipino authorities will have a positive effect on our efforts to gain access to other markets in the region,” he said.
