People: New appointment at Genesus
Genesus genetics supplier of hyper prolific gilts has appointed Abilio Pereira as General Manager Nucleus Farm.
Pereira joins the team after several years with PIC where fulfilled a variety of different roles. He has been responsible for updating and monitoring of genetic breeding farms including multipliers, which included supervising a staff of veterinarians and support staff (health, genealogical records, production sheets, budgets, product availability, controls, logistics etc.) and consulting in swine production to genetic customers.
He is also a graduate of Escola Superior de Agricultura de Lavras – Brazil and Business Administration at Belmont University, Tennessee.
