New stainless steel beam for slat support

Dutch livestock housing company Leenders Roosters will introduce a novel lightweight stainless steel beam for slats in farrowing and piglet pens at EuroTier, Hanover, Germany.

The product ‘Delta-i’ is described as being indestructible and is available in three heights, 80 mm, 100 mm, 120 mm. The profile is 5 mm wide at the top and 30 mm wide at the bottom. The Delta-i comes in different wall thicknesses, being 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm and 1.5 mm.

The beams are currently being tested at a facility of the German Agricultural Society (DLG) in Groß-Umstadt to get the exact strength and span.

In addition, Delta-i is being tested in three pilot projects in the Netherlands.  For mounting special brackets are available. The approach can be mounted without fasteners.

The beams can be delivered in correct lengths, with no waste.

Leenders Roosters can be found at EuroTier in Hall 9, stand D31.
