Miratorg reports strong results in 2012

During the first nine months of 2012 the volume of Miratorg’s pork production totalled 197,400 tonnes in live weight, which is 65% higher than the same period in 2011 (119,600 tonnes).

“The increase has been presented due to the commissioning of the new pig farms and increasing the number of the pig stock,” said the firm. Miratorg’s total sales for the nine months of 2012 amounted to 258,000 tonnes, an increase of 6% over the same period of 2011.

Also, the volume of production of Miratorg’s meat processing enterprise, Korocha, in the Belgorod region for the first nine months of 2012 amounted to 122,600 tonnes, which is 27% higher than during the same period of 2011 (96,400 tonnes).

Feed production

Miratorg has produced 527,000 tonnes of feed for the first nine months of 2012. An 87.8% hike compared to the same period in 2011 (280,700 tonnes). The total feed production planned for 2012 is 731,500 tonnes. If it achieves its goal, the firm will be able to provide 2.1 million pigs with feed.

Miratorg is also planning to open its third feed mill in the Belgorod region this year, with a production capacity of 360,000 tonnes per year. Thus, the estimated production capacity of the three feed mills in the Belgorod region starting 2013 will be 1.1 million tonnes per year.
