Polysem, since 2012 part of IMV Technologies, presents a biodegradable and compostable veterinary glove at SPACE – a ‘first’, the company says.

The product is made of raw materials of agricultural origin. The product is supposed to be ‘returning to the environment’ through biodegradation or composting within ten to 45 days, depending on the composting process. This all happens without the release of pollutants.

The product is said to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and non-renewable energy consumption during its manufacturing. The product can be used for any kind of animal husbandry business, including pig and poultry production.

SPACE is held in Rennes, France, from 10-13 September, 2013.
