Russia: Four pig complexes proposed

The Belgorod-based, Russian company Prioskolye plans to build four pig-breeding complexes for 115,000 head each in the Voronezh region.

Preliminary estimates, state that investments in the project will total RUR 8bn (US$ 341.08m). Currently, the company is negotiating the site allotment for construction with the regional administration. It is expected that the pig complexes will be built in districts which have a poorly developed livestock sector.
