Podcasts, being audio files available online, can be downloaded from the Internet and subsequently listened to on a computer, an iPod or an MP3 player.

“This will be an easy and convenient way for producers to hear from experts in the industry on current issues and hot topics in pork production,†said Teresa Roof, public relations manager at the US National Pork Board (NPB).
“Our podcasts will resemble long-form radio interviews and will use experts on topics such as exports, PCVAD, animal indentification, the new nutrient database, PQA Plus and more.”
The site offers an RSS-feed option, warning regular users that the site is updated with the latest additions.
Items last approximately seven to ten minutes.
Pork Pod is not the first podcast service being online. Earlier on, also US-based
SwineCast launched a website with audio news items on pig industry.
