The Vietnamese University of Agriculture and Forestry (UAF) in Chi Minh City has been given a pig research farm project by an international feed company.
The pig research farm project, which is a model farm with advanced equipment, will provide practical opportunities for teachers and students in the veterinary faculty in their training and study, said the company’s general director Scott Ainslie.
Cargill Vietnam and UAF have maintained close relations in science research and practice.
Many of Cargill Vietnam’s managers and employees have been trained at UAF, Ainslie said at the handover ceremony.
Cargill, present in Vietnam for more than ten years, has five animal feed factories, with total investment capital of US $80 million.
Cargill Vietnam supplies 500,000 tons of animal feed for the local market each year.
