Lower floor meets mortality target
To reduce the number of piglets killed by overlaying during the critical first three days, the Houbensteyn Group in the Netherlands has been testing the ‘balance’ design-farrowing pen from Nooyen. It is only one of the areas where production manager, Geert Houben, has been busy to remain competitive and abide by Dutch legislation.
