Exactly 111,426 people passed the entrance gates at the Rennes Airport Fairgrounds between September 11-14. It was the eleventh consecutive year that the French show attracted over 100,000 people.

Sarkozy
The show was opened by the recently elected French president Nicolas Sarkozy, announcing he will propose a new political framework for the European common agricultural policy once France will be presiding the European Union next year.
He emphasised the importance for the EU not to wait until 2013 but to impose changes prior to that.
He repeated his promise to reject any WTO treaty that goes against French interests.
