Russia and Poland have finally ended their disagreement over the Russian ban of Polish meat imports.
Russian agricultural minister, Alexej Gordejew, informed the news ageny AFP following meetings with his Polish counterpart in Moscow.
Next week, both sides are planning to sign a mutual memorandum. Following which, the way is paved for the planned partner agreement between the EU and Russia.
Russia has been justifying its meat embargo with Poland since 2005 by claiming that there were problems with Polish veterinary controls. At that time, the conservative Polish government blocked talks about a partnership agreement between Russia and the EU.
