Hydrothermally treated fibre source for pigs

German animal nutrition company Deutsche Tiernahrung Cremer (DTC) launches a highly concentrated of fibre source, with 33% crude fibre.

The new product, called Gelamin FaserGold, consists of 100% hydrothermally treated soybean hulls and can be applied for sows, piglets and finishing pigs.

One of the features of this product is increased tranquility and animal welfare in the pig house. This is related to an improved fermentation.

The product has been shown to be highly digestible (i.e. it has a good NDF/ADF relation), which is important for an optimal fermentation in the large intestine. The structure of the fibre enhances the fermentation capability in the large intestine, supporting a balanced gut microflora.

The expanded fibre also enable a higher water holding and swelling capacity. This leads also to a positive influence on the gut motility.

Gelamin can be found in Hall 9, stand 15o.
