Feed and Nutrition course scheduled for June

For the third time Schothorst Feed Research will organise the Feeds and Nutrition course in Amsterdam from June 3-7. The course has grown to be very popular among nutritionists and technical sales managers in the feed industry from around the world.

The course is organised by Schothorst Feed research, an independent research institute focussed on determining the nutritional value of feedstuffs and feed additives as well as the nutritional requirements of highly productive livestock animals.

It is an advanced course offering in depth but practical  training, focussed on nutrition, quality assurance and feed formulation for dairy, swine and/or poultry. This year an extra module on EU-legislation is added. Altogether nine different modules will be offered so that each participant can design his or her own custom program depending on interest or specialisation.  This course is designed for nutritionists, purchasing, product and quality assurance managers of feed and feed additive producers and others involved in the feed and allied industry.

All courses will be taught in one week (June 3-7), starting with the basic Feedstuffs (origin, nutritional characteristics and quality) and ending in specialised Dairy, Swine or Poultry nutrition. In between the participant can learn more about Quality assurance, Feed processing, EU-legislation, Communication or Least Cost Formulating.  Specialised companies in the area of feed processing, communication and Least Cost Formulating will provide additional trainers.  All modules will be offered over the course of this week.  On Saturday an excursion to a farm, feed mill and Schothorst Feed Research will be organised for those interested.

The course will be held at the Regardz Silver Tower Conference center in down town Amsterdam, several hotel options are available

A brief course description and more detailed programs of each module are available.
