The Swedish National Veterinary Institute (SVA) is joining a European research network which is busy studying the spread of African Swine Fever.
The Institute has received a subsidy of €0.9m from the EU for the project.
The network is attempting to draw up measures to prevent a spread of the disease to Europe in view of the recent outbreaks in Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia.
