Disinfection product Virkon S highlighted at EuroTier
The disinfection product Virkon S, for use in livestock facilities, will be highlighted at EuroTier at the booth of agricultural company Agravis Raiffeisen.
The farm disinfectant technology is designed to cover all the key areas that producers need to address during routine biosecurity programmes. With independent performance data against 500 strains of viruses, bacteria and fungi, including Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD), avian influenza, Salmonella and Campylobacter, the disinfectant’s formulation has been selected and approved by governments worldwide for emergency disease control programmes.
Offering flexible disinfection for a wide range of biosecurity uses and the most challenging surfaces, the disinfectant at a dilution rate of 1:100, has proven efficacy against E. coli, Salmonella arizona, Staphylococcus aureus, avian poxvirus, avian reovirus, infectious bursal disease virus and Newcastle disease virus.
Livestock vehicles
For livestock vehicles, the disinfectant has also been put through its paces by the Motor Industry Research Association – (MIRA) the UK’s official vehicle engineering and testing body.
Adding to the convenience package, the disinfectant provides producers with proven speed of kill and disinfection efficacy in the foot dip setting.
