Dingley Dell pork on London Olympic menus

05-06-2012 | |

In a rare departure from Olympic sponsor guidelines, the artisanal pork produced by Dingley Dell will be named on the packaging of sandwiches available at the Olympic Park, London, this summer.

Dingley Dell Pork, a pig farm in Suffolk, appears to have flown under the radar of branding restrictions set by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which has been deterring shops and restaurants in the area from using the word ‘Olympic’ in their advertising.

The hog roast available at the Olympic site will be ‘Dingley Dell hog roasted Red Tractor pork’. Red Tractor is an accreditation label used by the Assured Food Standards, a British organisation.
