Danish live pig exports drop

28-11-2006 | |

According to the Danish Meat Association (DMA), Danish live pig exports in 2007 are expected to drop after a sudden fall in the last quarter.

After years of remarkable growth, with Denmark exporting more than 1 million pigs every quarter, Danish live pig exports fall 14%. The seasonal drop was larger than expected, causing the association to revise figures for next year.

The figures for the most recent quarter, at 961,000 pigs were an on-year decline of 50%.
