Danisco strengthens its technical team with Dr Armin Vikari

Danisco Animal Nutrition has strengthened its technical support for customers with the appointment of Dr Armin Vikari to the position of regional technical manager.

Vikari will be responsible for ensuring pig and poultry producers throughout northern Europe maximise value from the latest developments in feed enzyme and betaine technology, as well as through the use of essential oil compounds. He will be based in the Netherlands and reports to business director, Kim Hjortstrøm.

His previous roles include area sales manager for J. Rettenmair & Sons, focusing on raw fibre concentrates in feed and later as bioactives product manager for Pancosma.

Fully aware of the issues currently facing the animal production industry, Armin is very positive about the role that feed additives can play in lowering feed costs, maintaining good animal health and contributing to feed and food safety. He commented that he was excited about “ensuring the best use of Danisco’s high specification, soundly researched products and helping to deliver tailor made solutions to our customers’ requirements.”

Armin’s previous experience and specialisation in natural growth promoters means that he is ideally placed to provide customers with advice over the alternatives to antibiotic growth promoters.
