Bulgaria: pork exports allowed again

11-07-2008 | |

Recognised companies from Bulgaria are allowed to export pork to other countries throughout the European Union (EU).

That was decided by the EU’s Permanent Committee for Food Chain and Animal Health. Exports were banned as from November 2006 due to Classical Swine Fever outbreaks. Bulgaria joined the EU, together with Romania, on January 1, 2007.
