30-07-2008 | |

The Colombian authorities have reported another case of Foot-and-Mouth Disease at a mixed meat and milk farm.

The outbreak was notified at a farm in Sardinata, in the department Norte de Santander, in the beginning of July – and confirmed to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) yesterday. Six pigs, and even a larger group of cattle were affected with Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD).

Stamping out and destruction of all animals on the farm are being prepared.
