500 pigs die in Dutch farm fire

A fire on a farm in the Dutch region of Brabant has cost the lives of 500 pigs, according to Dutch newspaper, Agrarisch Dagblad.

The fire, which is believed to have started via a heating system broke out quickly into gushing flames. The pigs are thought to have suffocated as a result of the volume of smoke that was generated.
