Trichinellosis emerges in Gaucin, Spain
Trichinellosis has struck in Benarraba, Gaucin, Spain. It was thought that the pig disease was longer present in Europe, however with the re-emergence, control measures are a priority.
The presence of the disease was found during a hunting session. Veterinarian, Alonso Badillo, confirmed the disease.
Control measures are being carried out, particularly in Casares, on the border of Benarraba.Further tests will be carried out.
