At the organic farm of owner Ruben Exterkate in Bentelo, the Netherlands, the pigs have long curly tails, that is one of the measures to be an organic farm in the Netherlands. Most conventional farmers choose to have the tails docked, but more and more countries in Northern Europe have a ban on tail docking.
Pig Progress editor Vincent ter Beek and audiovisual editor Iris Hofman take a seat between the pigs and discuss the topic of tail docking in the Netherlands and the rest of the world.
