Evaluation of a methodology for collection and PRRSV detection at swine herd level

18-11-2010 | | |

PRRS virus is usually detected in individual pig serum, but it is often difficult to do at the herd level because of cost and the labour.

Researchers have recently developed a new methodology (1,2,3): the objective of this study was to compare this new method of detection of the virus in oral fluid (OF) with the classical detection of PRRSV in serum.
