Diamond V and ACC Vietnam – swine seminar
Diamond V and ACC Vietnam hosted a swine seminar in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 4 December 2012.
The purpose of the seminar was to discuss issues in the swine industry, swine health and to introduce Original XPC to the Vietnamese swine industry.
Professor PGS.TS. Duong Thanh Liem from the Animal Nutrition department at Nong Lam University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam presented information on swine health and factors that contribute to sow performance. He also explained how the immune system works in swine and the importance of keeping the immune system in balance to promote overall health.
Mr. Chinh Quach, ACC Vietnam, presented data on how feed additives can help balance the immune system in swine. Quach introduced the participants to the benefits of using Diamond V Original XPC. He explained how research has proven Original XPC balances the immune system in swine to improve sow performance and number of weaned piglets.
The seminar attracted 120 swine farmers from Vietnam. Diamond V and ACC Vietnam plan to conduct more seminars for swine, dairy and aqua in 2013.
