(1957-2012) was an agricultural journalist who gained worldwide respect working for many Proagrica (Reed Business Information) titles, between 1989 until his untimely passing in November 2012. He graduated from Larenstein Agricultural College in Deventer, the Netherlands. He started his career as a technical poultry adviser for a large Dutch feed manufacturer (then CTA, now ForFarmers). He also took care of the cooperative’s periodical that was sent out to its members. Next, he found a job as an editor of the market section of the Dutch agricultural daily Agrarisch Dagblad, after which he moved on to the Dutch national weekly poultry magazine Pluimveehouderij. After 9 years he switched to the writing for international titles like World Poultry (the old name for Poultry World). Soon after he became editor of Feed Tech, which in 2010 continued in the successful Proagrica publication All About Feed.
