UK supermarket giant continue to back British pork
Martyn Jones, Group Corporate services director for Morrisons has written a letter to NFU President, Meurig Raymond voicing their commitment to the British farming industry.
In it he states that they will continue to sell 100% British milk and cream as well as their commitment to sell 100% British fresh beef, pork, lamb, chicken and eggs.
They also state their concerns for dairy farmers after the recent price cuts and are looking at a mechanism to address fluctuations in the market when they re-tender for liquid milk supplies in 2015.
