Poland will become the first EU country in ten years to export pork to Taiwan, reports the website Grocerynews.pl.
Authorities in this country issued cooperation permits to 21 Polish meat companies, specialised in pork processing. The news was announced by Polish deputy minister of foreign affairs, Beata Stelmach.
The Taiwanese authorities have issued the permission to start exporting as of this summer.
The permission to export to Taiwan has also been requested by Sweden, Spain, Austria and France.
