Russia: Smuggled pig skins detained

Rosselkhoznadzor specialists for Kalinigrad Oblast detained a consignment of frozen pig skins.

The consignment amounted to five thousand kilograms and was delivered from Poland and accompanied by a Polish veterinary certificate.

When the consignment was examined the veterinary brand was detected indicating that the products had been produced by German establishment DE 249 EG. The export of products from this establishment to the territory of CU countries was subject to temporary restrictions.

Rosselkhoznadzor addressed the Polish Veterinary Service with a request to suspend the certification of products produced by Zaklad Miesny “Modcibrody” Sp. Z o. o. Pl 14260201 WE, which had delivered that consignment, and to conduct the appropriate investigation.
