One of the main sessions at the AHDB Outlook Conference will be looking at the changing trading environment, not only in Europe but further afield.

Free trade agreements can obviously have an important impact, particularly for pig producers, with the liberalisation of trade with countries such as Canada where the cost of production is lower.

After the keynote speeches, the conference will have a series of break-out sessions one of which will include the latest forecasts for the pig industry.

AHDB senior analyst Stephen Howarth said: “This conference is of great importance for all those in the pig industry

“The information they can gain will help them make informed business decisions for the rest of the year. It is also a good opportunity for networking with the red meat industry.

“This year, for the first time, we are also including a section on the poultry industry and this is something we plan to expand in the future.”

The conference is on Wednesday 12 February at One Great George Street, London and details of how to attend can be found by clicking here.
