De Heus – new location for pig feed in Vietnam
De Heus announces its ambitious plans for the Vietnamese market. The company has started building a new state-of-the-art feedmill to produce pig feed.
The company started its operations in Vietnam in 2009 with two production plants (Haiphong Area and Ho Chi Minh City area). After modernising these plants and focusing on the market opportunities in Vietnam, De Heus will be moving forward.
The company’s first choice is the Dong Nai province which offers good opportunities for further growth in the Vietnamese market. The location where the new production plant will be built as a Green Field Project is in the Dau Giay Industrial Zone. It will be located next to the new Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh-Dau Giay express highway that will connect the South and the Center of Vietnam, 25 km from the new Long Thanh International airport.
Feedmill
Building has started last week. The project will be finalised by February 2012. It will be a
complete new “state of the art” feedmill with a capacity of 300.000 MT/year. This will
effectively double the production capacity of De Heus in Vietnam and will help De Heus in
realising its market goals in quality and quantity. The new location will produce pig, poultry
and cattle feed.
The company is keen on further future growth in Vietnam. This Green Field Project fits in the
international strategy of the firm, focusing on strong local presence and growth in markets
with a high agricultural potential.
