The National Pork Board is looking for US pig meat enthusiasts who can supply exquisite, traditional pork recipes.
For that reason, the NPB sponsors America’s Favorite Family Recipes Contest as part of the 17th annual ‘National Eat Dinner Together Week’. The NPB will be accepting pork recipes for the next month.
Main challenge for entrants is to submit a recipe, along with a story about its history and how that relates to a family tradition – and a family photo. Creativity, ease of preparation and originality should all be ingredients of a good entry.
What’s in it for the winner? A lot of kitchen stuff of course. The overall winner will be awarded a cookbook. Last but not least – how could one forget? – the five finalists will also get an apron and… a one-year supply of pork.
