Vitamex reaches premix agreement with INVE
Vitamex aims to strengthen its position in the Spanish market having reached an agreement on the sale of all shares of Premix Iberica, the Spanish premix activity of the INVE group, located near Toledo, Spain.
The Premix Iberica unit includes a modern production plant in which Vitamex is also willing to produce its own products specially dedicated for the Spanish market. The plant has 3 fully automated production lines, one being dedicated to the production of pelleted prestarter feed for young animals.
The agreement with Vitamex fits into the new INVE group strategy, focusing on expanding its leading position in aquaculture (INVE Aquaculture) and specialty feed additives/flavour and sweeteners business (NUTRI-AD). Through this agreement, the Spanish INVE premix activities will be integrated into the dynamic and robust premix and specialty business approach of the Vitamex Group.
Vitamex and INVE expect the closing of the deal after due diligence by the end of July 2009.
