stabLED – New LED-lamp for Agriculture
In time for the EuroTier 2010 the traditional family enterprise Hölscher + Leuschner presents a new development of the in-house think tank. The first lamp especially developed for agricultural use: “stabLED” with economical and ecological LED- laminating-power.
According to both general managers, Dr. Richard Hölscher and degreed merchant Marc Leuschner, the LED-illumination is the illumination for the future due to its power efficiency and longevity. However, those LED lamps available on the market at present are said to be inappropriate for agriculture. Insufficient illuminating power, sensitivity against dirt, dust or gas or the resulting costs proved to be unsatisfactory. According to the family tradition “everything from a single source“ the in-house research and development department was instructed to find a satisfactory result for the agriculturist.
The result is going to be presented shortly at the „EuroTier 2010“ and be delivered before the end of the year : “stabLED”.
This brand-new product is characterized by the illuminating power of a standard 60-W bulb, it is easy to install and it remains unaffected in its effectivity and durability from dust, dirt and stable gases.
450 LEDs are evenly distributed on an aluminum profile (solid and easy to install) measuring 150 cm in length and 6.5 cm width. Due to its good heat conductivity property in combination with the ingenious conducting paths design the aluminum takes care of an optimal heat dissipation of the LEDs. For protection against outer influences the LEDs are encapsulated with resin.
“stabLED” is very easy to install – through the provided mounting clips, its low weight of approx. 1 kg per tube as well as the simple cable connection through water-protected coupled connection.
Through the DC voltage the light emission is vibration-free, which proves to be particularly positive in the case of poultry keeping. Poultry may react aggressively to light oscillation. The warm light spectrum of „stabLED“ also acts aggressively reducing.
To reach animal welfare is always a reason for new developments at H+L.
The much longer service life of course reduces the maintenance expenses for the agriculturist and here we are talking about 50 % energy savings.
„We are proud to once again be able to present a modern, outstanding product from our company in time for the EuroTier which satisfies all standards: economical, simple and animal-friendly“, so Dr. Richard Hölscher.
