Pfizer AH launches boar taint website

02-04-2009 | |

Pfizer Animal Health has launched a new website, explaining what causes boar taint and how it is controlled.

The US-based global animal health company has made this move to promote its vaccine Improvac. This alternative to physical castration can be used to control boar taint.

Launching the website, www.boartaint.com, the company aims for an increased consumer acceptance and understanding. The site describes how the vaccine works and how it affects growth rates and consumer safety. It also includes video footage and comments from experts and the results of market research among consumers.

As well as English, the site is available in nine different languages.
