PEOPLE: Dr Yannig Le Treut now Lallemand general manager

Lallemand Animal Nutrition has announced that Dr Yannig Le Treut, DVM, has been appointed as general manager of the company, replacing Olivier Clech, former general manager of Lallemand Animal Nutrition and vice president of the Specialty Division.

Le Treut, who joined Lallemand in 2005 as commercial director for France, Belgium, South of Europe & Africa, and who was instrumental to the development of the company’s monogastrics activity, has an in-depth knowledge of the business and the company.

Yannig Le Treut graduated as a veterinary doctor in 1984. Early in his carrier, he specialised in animal nutrition, which he sees as the cornerstone of a healthy and profitable animal production. Over the past seven years, he has driven Lallemand’s business and technical development in the swine and poultry market.

Prior to joining Lallemand, Yannig Le Treut was director of Inzo, one of the European leaders in animal feed, and, before this, he had managed the porcine activities of the firm for six years. Prior to this, Le Treut spent eight years managing the porcine activities of major French porcine cooperatives: first Ucanor, and then Agrial.

This is the opportunity to thank Olivier Clech for his commitment to the company and his major contribution to its development over the past 12 years.

Yannig Le Treut commented: “When Olivier arrived in the Company in 2000, Lallemand was starting off its animal nutrition activities and had only started human nutrition activities for two years with the acquisition of Institut Rosell. His strong leadership and business vision has been crucial in building a very strong Animal Nutrition business team that has become a world leading player in animal nutrition.”

Since 2002, Clech also took on the responsibility of the human nutrition business with similar success. He managed this activity until it was taken over last February by Francine Mondou, following the acquisition of Harmonium International by Lallemand.
