Outbreak of PRRS in Northern Vietnam
Animal health authorities reported a renewed outbreak of blue-ear pig disease, or Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS), in the northern province of Ha Tinh on Sunday.
2,460 pigs in local farms have been reported infected with the virus .
Local animal health centers are requested to take swift action to quarantine, sterilise infected areas, cull affected pigs, and restrict transport of pork products in and out of outbreak areas.
