Merial regains permit to use FMD virus

27-02-2008 | |

Animal health company, Merial, has recovered its permit to use the FMD and bluetongue viruses at its British Pirbright laboratory.

On account of a leak a few months ago at the laboratory, which led to an outbreak of FMD in southern England, the permit was removed.

The company can now begin again with the production of its vaccines against both diseases.
