In Canada, Maple Leaf Foods cancelled two shifts at its Brandon, Manitoba plant because the blizzard stopped hogs from being delivered.

Shifts cancelled
It has been reported that the second kill shift on Monday was cancelled and its second cut shift on Tuesday, according to a company spokeswoman Jeanette Jones. The amount of production volume affected is unclear at this point.
