Japan imports more pork

Japan imported around 4.9% more pork in 2007 than a year previously.

Total imports amounted to 760,400 tonnes. The US was the biggest supplier – accounting for 35.6% of imports.

EU imports totalled 228,318 tonnes. Around 70% originated from Denmark.
