Won Hyung Lee IPVS 2012

To host professionals in the swine industry from around the world is such a great honour, and it is even more meaningful to us as IPVS 2012 Korea (10 – 13 June 2012) is the very first congress to be held in Asia after the successful IPVS 1994 in Thailand.

With high expectations of welcoming many overseas colleagues to Korea, let me introduce some important information and the latest news on IPVS 2012.

Online Registration
Online registration is now open for attendees participating in the IPVS 2012.
Both ‘Early Bird Reservation’ and ‘Regular Reservation’ are available via the official website – http://www.ipvs2012.kr

As a large attendance is expected, you are advised to take advantage of the Early Bird Registration, which will help you save time and benefit from a lower registration fee.
Early Bird Registration deadline is February 28, 2012 and Regular Registration deadline is April 30, 2012.

Abstracts: Now open for submission
To hold the IPVS 2012 successfully, the Scientific Committee is soliciting abstracts for Oral and Poster sessions.

As you are aware, no other event in the world brings together the swine industries in one place like IPVS. So, it means the call for abstracts will be a great chance to share the most up-to-date research works, trends of the various related industries, and interesting cases from all over the world.

In addition, the travel awards will be given to some authors of qualified papers who will present at the Oral Session or Poster Session.

Jeju Island – Venue of the IPVS 2012- Wins a Spot in New 7 Wonders of Nature
It is a great pleasure to inform you that Jeju has been named as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. From a field of 440 original candidates in 220 countries, the seven winners were announced on Nov. 11, 2011.

As many of you may know, Jeju has also been designated as a ‘World Natural Heritage’ by UNESCO in appreciation of its outstanding aesthetic beauty. The recent nomination as one of the New7Wonders of Nature confirms that Jeju is one of the most fantastic places in the world.

Of course, Jeju will offer you not only its scenic beauty, but also lots of new experiences and warm hospitality based on a proven ability to successfully host international congresses.

Now, we really hope you to come and enjoy IPVS2012 in Jeju Island.
