Hendrix Genetics awarded with RusPrix 2012

The RusPrix Award 2012 has been granted to Hendrix Genetics, by His Excellency Mr. Roman A. Kolodkin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Netherlands,.

Hendrix Genetics received this special acknowledgement for ‘the best results achieved by a Dutch company on the Russian market’.
 
The best results achieved by a Dutch company on the Russian market was awarded for the project between Hypor, the pig breeding division of Hendrix Genetics and partner Znamensky Genetic Selection Center, part of Exima agro-holding/Mikoyan.
 
 
Genetic center in pig breeding
Together they established the first state-of-the-art genetic center in pig breeding in Russia. The main task of the center is the supply of high quality pig genetics to commercial farms for the production of the best pork for all the citizens of Russia.
 
Znamensky includes a Genetic Selection Center, an agro-industrial enterprise with the territory of 40.000 hectares, a feed milling plant (capacity of 175.000 tons/year), an elevator with the simultaneous storage volume of 100.000 tons and a modern slaughterhouse with a slaughtering capacity of 1 million heads a year.
 
The award was received by Thijs Hendrix, président of Hendrix Genetics: ‘We are very proud that we have been awarded this prize as recognition of the successful cooperation between us and our numerous partners in Russia. We want to share this award with our partners in the layer, turkey and pig industry in Russia and with our employees in Russia, the Netherlands and all other countries where we are operating.’
 
Economic relations between Russia and The Netherlands have been progressing well over the years. The Netherlands is one of the most important trade partners of Russia today and a significant increase in mutual trade has been realised in recent years. The index of mutual trade ranks the Netherlands as one of the most important straight investors in the Russian economy.
