In the battle against feral pigs, a smelly, oily, green sausage is the latest weapon being used by Daintree Rainforest in North Queensland, Australia.

The University of Queensland is carrying out trials in developing bait to target feral pigs that does not affect other animals.

Phd student Andrew Bengsen is conducting the trials and stated that the “potential for accidental poisoning is large for non-target animals, hence, we’re trying to overcome this by developing specific targeted poisoning for pigs”.
