Germans to sell pork in Russian stores

18-10-2006 | |

German pork may be sold in Russian shops from December 1st, 2006.

This promise has been made by the head of the Russian veterinary service.

Up until now German pork could only be transported into Russia for processing.

For years, the German board for meat trade (VDF) has been trying to open up Russia for German pork to be sold in shops.

List
However, the Russian veterinary service required the VDF to be presenting a list of participating companies.

“Companies, that would like to be included on that list but are not yet VDF members, should contact us shortly,” the VDF announced.
