France: Kaufler management changes hands

11-03-2008 | |

French constructor of machinery for ham production lines, Kaufler, has announced a change of ownership.

Founders of the company, Yvon Corveller and Jean-Claude Champalaune, are to hand over the keys of the organisation after 28 years to two private majority shareholders – Jean-Yves Duault and Marc Banallec.

Duault was hitherto poultry commercial manager at Stork Food Systems and Banallec, technical director at Nijal – an agrofeed equipment company.

The new management team has announced a number of new projects involving the development of a global production line for agrofeed. An export sales increase is targeted, which currently represents 50% of annual turnover. In addition, an increase of Kaufler’s patents is aimed at.

About Kaufler
Kaulfer is based in Loudéac, in Brittany. Its turnover amounted to €4.3m last year. The key activities are technology and systems for the preparation of ham. Its main clients are sandwich and snack makers.
