Denmark and Vietnam team up to look into pig breeding prospects

A Danish delegation headed for Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to visit some farms in order to review propects for pig breeding in Vietnam.

The delegation, which consisted of 22 members and led by Lindhart B. Nielsenwill, director of the Pig Research Centre under Danish Agriculture and Food Council, were in Vietam on Sunday.
 
While the delegation visited Vietnam, there were talks held about food safety, animal health and pig breeding.
 
It was further indicated that the Danish Pig Breeding Programme, Danbred International, has modern genetic technology which could assist Vietnam in bettering quality and quantity of pigs.
 
No decisions by the two countries have thus far been reported on.
