The Danish manufacturer of feed and pig equipment Skiold posted good results over 2010. The company achieved profit in a period of depression through increased exports.
The activities on the export markets meant that the company managed to remain profitable with an ROE of at least 42%.
Turnkey pig projects
During recent years the company has achieved competence and experience in designing and supplying turnkey pig sites consisting of sow units with weaners and finishers, including all equipment from manure systems, inventory, feeding systems, climate systems etc.
“We delivered turnkey projects especially in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Sweden, but we are also well-established in the CIS-countries generally and Asia”, said managing director Samuel Waldorph.
In 2010 the company thus projected and delivered several complete pig sites to large, industrial pig producers.
Future
The company developed into a project-oriented company with her own production of machines and process controlling systems.
“We feel very well prepared to meet customers and discuss their plans to build modern, technically advanced pig production plants, feed production factories or complete storage plants. Whether it is in Denmark or abroad it makes no difference,” said Waldorph.
