Common acidifier has some surprises in store

Acidifiers are commonly seen additives for pigs nowadays, so much so that one acidifier may seem very much like another. Benzonic acid appears so often in everyday foods that we might be forgiven for forgetting it is even there. However, it now appears that is benefits go far beyond just acidifying the feed and it may be a vital component of ammonia reduction strategies in the future.
